ECLIPSED is a two-hander that explores the many facets of migration—not only the physical movement from one place to another, but also the emotional transitions between states of being, and the passage through different stages of life.

The play follows a man and a woman, trapped in a visceral, timeless space. There is no path back to their cherished past, and no clear future in sight within the landscape of their deteriorating relationship. As they interact, each sees the other as a representation of their estranged homeland.

This work offers a bold yet intimate reflection on displacement, merging various forms of human loss and longing into a single, layered world composed of parallel stories.
For the performers, the central concept is that each perceives the other as their homeland. Their physical, verbal, and emotional exchanges are shaped by this lens, yet to the audience, it is a couple's journey through life. At times they resist moving forward, make futile attempts to reconstruct the past, and ultimately confront the absurdity of their present.

As artists living and working in migration, the themes of the show are deeply personal to us, yet by tapping into the universal aspects of life’s transitions, our aim is to foster a sense of connection, bridging self and other, individual and community and take the performance beyond social and political narratives to explore the existential questions of what is lost, what remains, and what might be found in the ongoing journey through life’s many transitions.
